Programming is easy if you don't have Direct TV. The guide does not include a listing for live TV. I tried each code in the "Other" section twice and then went through each code listed hoping I would get lucky. Eventually I found a code that worked and I had to write the code down. Setting it up for the TV is easy and once you've got the right code it's easy to program it for your cable or satellite box too. The CC button does not work (on Direct TV) and the remote control does not have the buttons needed to access and navigate the built-in TV guide. Every satellite and cable box I've seen (including OTA receivers) over the last two decades had some sort of TV listing. It looks like this would be good for residents with poor eyesight or who need a remote with fewer buttons than a standard Direct TV remote. Time will tell if this remote is any more reliable than standard Direct TV remotes.
