Try it... you will love it.

Like any pen, it needs to be adjusted slightly before use. When shipped, it had a small vent and no visible slot. I enlarged the vent to a diameter that works well for the viscosity of the ink I'm using and carefully cut a slit from the vent to the tip with a razor blade. It works great, durable, with good fluidity. I have it for logging in the field when the metal tips are too scratchy to draw with pencil or charcoal. You could probably shorten the tip to a finer point if you'd like, although slotted bamboo skewers are better for micro detail. The brush is a typical type of Asian calligraphy that can be finely worked up and is well suited for watercolours. to wash. Definitely a fan although I wish they were cheaper, sold in bulk and had slightly better brushes.
