Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Massca Pocket Hole Jig: Ideal Tool for DIY Carpentry Projects and Joinery Woodworking (Jig only) by Abdy Traini

Are you kidding me?

The size of a small flip phone, this mount is made of strong, durable plastic and features a magnetic component for quick size/use adjustments. Unfortunately, the holes/sleeves you insert the drill into (lined with steel rings/guides) require proprietary drills if you want perfect accuracy. So you're either stuck buying a bunch of proprietary drill bits (because they dull over time and/or you need different sizes) or you practice for hours trying "hands-free" with a regular drill and a regular drill bit. one piece. Of course, "regular" drill bits are also a problem due to the length required to go through the template and then through the wood. So you'll probably need regular 6" to 8" drill bits to get this jig working without buying proprietary ones. Then of course you need a steady hand and some kind of ring or stop on the drill bit to prevent you from drilling shallow or double deep. I'll probably build a sexy little wooden support block/jig to guide the drill bit and hopefully avoid having to buy brand name drill bits.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
