Moderately difficult to install, especially on an exterior wall

If you are installing inside your home but on a wall next to an exterior concrete block, you will need to cut out the drywall and use concrete taps/screws instead of the screws provided. Then you need to screw the base of the pole directly onto the concrete so that it is behind the remaining drywall. This gives you a real floating effect. I did this with the very dense white oak shelves and they came out great and feel solid. You can't see the brackets in the picture or live. It remains to put a little putty on the lower shelves and the lower shelves on top.
