Review on ๐Ÿงถ LOOEN 12 Sizes Crochet Hooks Set: Ergonomic Design for Arthritic Hands - Colorful Needles with Case by Amber Perez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The color will fade after a short time, do not crochet with a pencil.

These were my first ergonomic hooks and were very different from the Boye or Susan Bates hooks I have used for many years. However, after intensive crocheting, I developed an ulcer on my middle finger. It starts from the 2nd joint to the fingertip. After the first day of use, I noticed an invisible wound on my finger when I touched something lightly. It took me a few more days to realize the problem was on the hook. I had to stop crocheting because it was too uncomfortable to continue. I crocheted with a pencil, so I tried it with a knife. It didn't seem to cause any pain, but since it's not my method of choice, it slowed down my crocheting a lot. The color at the tip of the hook will also start to fade halfway through the amigurumi project. The yarn is also VERY sticky to these hooks. That being said I think these are fantastic hooks for the right person and grip. If colors that fade over time aren't a problem for you, they probably will be great. The accessories that come with it are very useful. I found myself with stitch markers and a small pair of scissors. However, the scissors aren't very sharp, so when you cut the yarn you really have to cut it 4 or 5 times before the yarn breaks. You'll find that you have to dig around to find the hook you need.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged
