5-Piece Large Aluminum Crochet Hooks Set - 7.0Mm, 8.0Mm, 9.0Mm, 10.0Mm And 12.0Mm Standard Sizes Review

The enamel on these isn't smooth and was already rubbed off on areas when I opened the package. Additionally, the hooks themselves aren't smooth. They are beveled and I'm some places look as if they've been crushed to have flat sides. I wasn't expecting perfection, but this is even less than wish.com quality.

First I want to say I got this because of the 7 and 8 mm hooks and the pouch and notions. On those ends everything is working fine and accurate. As such I don’t plan to return them but I won’t buy from this shop again.However if you are buying this for the 9 and 10 mm then be warned: they are not accurate. It's fine. The needles are worse than the stainless steel ones I have, the markers are worse than the plastic stitch markers I got from my local yarn shop. The 12 mm hook is good, but the 10 mm and 9 mm hooks at a glance look the exact same except for the labeling, in fact if I were to guess I'd say the 10 mm is actually narrower than the 9 mm hook. Cheap supplies are cheap.

This set is a really great set of hooks, a good value for the money. As it comes with hooks, a case, yarn needles and stitch markers, it is a great starter set for any crocheter. The case it comes with has a strong funny smell but it faded over time.

These get the job done, but they hurt my wrist to use them and the paint started coming off after using one of the hooks for 30 minutes. Trash.

I like these crochet hooks. They are very easy to use. However, there seems to be a slight discrepancy with the 9mm and 10mm hooks. The place markers and needles are very helpful. Nice carry case for all items.

Just what I needed to complete a project with super chunky yarn. Nicely packaged in a protective (and not cheesy) sleeve. Great price.

I was sent two of the 12 mm hooks and didn't get a 10 mm (which was the main reason I got this set). Disappointed. Thanks for attention!

Perfect crochet hooks. Love the extra needles and crochet counters. The punch is also very nice to keep my hooks organized. Would make the purchase again. Good for the value. .

Overall, they are okay for the price. I question the guage on some of them but have never measured any.Some are not smooth and get caught on the yarn or have a rather sharp point on the hook that can tear through the yarn. I have to work very deliberately with those hooks or just choose not to use one.Others don't have a very deep hook so the yarn is hard to grasp and keep on as you complete a stitch.I love the fact that they are metal. A couple of them have none of those issues and they work…

I have reviewed this item several times so not sure why I keep getting asked. They arrived on time - came with a nice little case which is well made and they work like they should. (No rough spots, etc) and were reasonably priced. I recommend these.

The needles are solid and made of good quality. The different colors help know which size needle to use. The case helps in keeping up with them. My daughter is now trying to make all kinds of things.

Definitely not correctly marketed - no 6.5 inch hook in the bunch. I would have chosen a different brand if I'd known this! I NEED a longer than AVERAGE HOOK for this project. Now I need to go shopping again, probably not at ebay.

This set is missing pieces very poorly made and the size of the hooks is not accurate. In addition these hooks are much shorter than standard.I ordered this set as I needed a particular size. Waste of time and money

I like the various sizes of the crochet hooks. Stitch markers and darning needles also came with this product.These items came in a small cloth pouch for storage. Good deal!

I bought these hooks for a beginner crocheter who works primarily with bulky yarns so only needs the larger hooks. I was very disappointed to find out that the 8, 9, and 10mm hooks are all the same size (8.0mm) and the 12mm is only 10.0mm. The net result is a properly labeled 7.0mm hook, three 8.0mm hooks of which only one is correctly labeled, and a 10.0mm hook that is labeled as 12mm. They had already opened the gift and started using the hooks before I realized they weren’t properly labeled.

Can you see 👀 the little nub that snags on no10? A little annoying but still I used it. It made me pay more attention to my strokes so that might be better for crocheting the squares better. I just kept it anyway. I will buy the next one up and see if I can get a kit not made in China!
