The scale looks accurate and measures up to 10 grams. Having understood that, I will now use other scales in hundredths Order in gram increments. (0.00 versus 0.0). This is also a small problem. The counter range of the timer is from 00:00 to 99.59 which is completely wrong. The scale timer is listed elsewhere as up to 120 seconds due to inactivity when turning the scale on/off. In fact, the only time the timer runs longer than 120 seconds is if the weight of the scale changes during those 120 seconds. Therefore, for convenience, the timer can only be used for 120 seconds due to the auto-off feature of the scale. Customer service was very responsive and confirmed that the scale turns off after 120 seconds without changing the weight. To use this for a french press I start a timer after I put the press on the scale and touch the weight every minute and after 4 minutes I take the press off the scale and it switches off after a few minutes out. The scale is made of plastic and not stainless steel as described. This is a bit of a problem as everyone who sees the image expects a black bar. In the next version, the timer should suspend the automatic switch-off function.
