So far so good

So far so good. I thought two came with the order but I realize the photo only shows the back and that's what I get for the 3:30 order. Guilty. I disassembled about 60% of the car. The upholstery isn't as stiff as it used to be and is missing some foam, which is probably due to the oddly pointed crease on my car door. I know having more than one disc is ideal, but I sanded down the worst parts of the car first and basically just sanded the rest to revitalize the color. There are not as many curls to be removed. As for the scratches. The combination I chose removes about 80% of the light scratches. I can tell the pad is starting to crack although when viewed from the side it looks like it's losing its density and I was hoping it would last more than one car but that's what it is. First time using DA (myself) on my car and everything runs smoothly with this gasket and after testing I took it off and I'm not as scared as I once thought I would be about the paint off unplug car. especially black color. This pad seems forgiving and safer just in case so no complaints that after doing my research I decided to give it a try. I'm glad it didn't explode or something like that as others have pointed out and I believe it will destroy the roof. After the prep process, I used Harbor's DA, a 5" Meguiars base plate, chemical scratch and swirl remover, and a 5.5" orange cutting pad. Speed Level 5. So far the Chemical Guys brand has worked well for my learning process and I feel it was a safe choice to experiment with.
