I am 5'9 170 and bought a size medium. I had to stretch the armpit area a little to make it fit better because it was too tight there. But now it fits well. Not sure if L would suit me better but the surroundings look great. You can definitely wear this shirt to the gym on weekends too. Edit: I have since bought an L and the L fits me a little better. I'm sort of in the middle. M if I want a slimmer figure, L if I want a little more space.
