My cat is 16lbs and this carrier fits him perfectly. It is very easy to open and pull in. I like that it opens from the top and from the side. There is also a pocket on one side for you to put things. The bottom is pretty sturdy, it's a piece of wood in a cloth bag that zips open and closes (so you can wash it). The rest of the stretcher is mesh/soft. Comes with main risers as well as an attachable shoulder strap. Definitely recommend. My big baby couldn't fit in a regular cage due to his size, so going to the vet was very easy.
