Review on LG 34UM88C-P 34 Inch UltraWide 3440X1440P Monitor with Screen Split 2.0, OnScreen Control, Flicker Safe, AMD FreeSync™ Technology by Scott Ross

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great for productivity and photos; inferior quality; Poor LG customer service

Update 10/21/17: I've had this monitor for about 10 months now. A month ago the monitor started showing a vertical red bar. The line is about 2/3 the width to the left of the screen. LG customer service is hard to come by. Let's see how quickly this problem can be fixed. But I'm disappointed with the poor build quality of this monitor. ------------- ---------- -------- Bought at a local fry after trying one from a Revain vendor. I bought this monitor as an upgrade for my Dell 24 inch 1920 x 1200 UltraSharp widescreen monitor that I have been using for a number of years and I am glad I upgraded: the LG monitor has much more screen real estate and I am able to work on several documents at the same time. - The pixel resolution is spot on. I was thinking of a 4K monitor (I have one at work) but the pixel resolution makes the text too small for my comfort. - The colors are great. Photos and videos look amazing. I couldn't check the colors with a colorimeter. But maybe one day I will. :) A downside is that the quality of the cable connectors can be poor. That's what happened to the one that was sent and returned by the Revain seller (thanks, Revain!). So the five star rating includes Revain's return service rating. :)
