Review on LG 34UM88C-P 34 Inch UltraWide 3440X1440P Monitor with Screen Split 2.0, OnScreen Control, Flicker Safe, AMD FreeSync™ Technology by Bruce Lucas

I bought 3 of these monitors and put them on my workstation. Talk amazing amounts or real estate for all my viewing needs. The picture quality is second to none. Tail light is not a problem for me. I had a problem with the display port. CMOS - Bios is not visible when connected through the display port. I contacted LG and they didn't help. After reading extensively about display port monitors, I found that I had to enable UEFI mode in the bios in order for the display port to be recognized when booting into the bios. I also installed Windows in UEFI. Now the display ports worked as expected. I use these monitors for music production, photo editing and video production. Multitasking just got a lot easier. Colors are accurate and images are amazingly sharp. Now for the lack of quality control. You can see in the close-up that the edge of the monitor near the LG logo is completely darkened. Both monitors had the same frame damage. I contacted LG about this damage and again they showed no concern and pointed the finger at the carrier or seller. The packages were fully OEM wrapped and sealed. No damage to the packaging. If you read the reviews, you will see that LG has a lot of quality control issues and LG monitors. The first seller had very little concern when asking about damage to the monitor and was so slow with shipping that returns were questionable at best. I will not buy from them again. I've repaired the dents in the bezels to make this work. TO UPDATE. I bought another one because of the excellent performance of the first two, which I've had for a few years. My recent purchase was great! (06/26/2020) Incredibly fast delivery, the monitor corresponds to the description. (LIKE NEW)! So far no problems have been identified. All 3 monitors are connected to my computer via DisplayPort. The latest nVidia graphics cards allow you to connect 3 display ports to the same graphics card and still support SLI for multiple graphics cards. I already had 2 of these monitors so now I have 3 monitors on the same computer. This made it easy to compare this purchase. This seller was great! I'll be back!
