Review on LG 34UM88C-P 34 Inch UltraWide 3440X1440P Monitor with Screen Split 2.0, OnScreen Control, Flicker Safe, AMD FreeSync™ Technology by Fisseha Martin

So when I bought it, it was cheaper than LG's previous 34-inch LG UM67 34UM67 monitor, so why not buy it?! my 15" Macbook Pro with Retina late 2013 (I had a dedicated GPU but don't think it matters). I love Macs but they certainly have their issues, and sometimes controlling external monitors can...hmm. ...can be problematic. So I wanted to stop fiddling with adapters, weird utilities, etc. I just wanted it to be plug and play.Aesthetically, I think it's a step in the wrong direction from the predecessor that gave me really liked the look of the old center stand better. The new stand is like a very open horseshoe with the center post in the middle. Still the surround and speaking of the stand, in terms of functionality it would look better as it has quite a large height/ Has tilt adjustment range. So if that's important to you, this monitor has a very good range - Drilled in the back (that's where the included stand attaches) making it easy to mount i St. No backlight leaks so far. I followed LG's instructions on how to handle the display very closely. The display is bright, sharp and clear. Best was plug and play with Thunderbolt to drive it at full resolution (3440x1440 @ 60Hz) I connected an Anker USB 3 hub. 0 and it allows me to switch between inputs and keep the same keyboard and mouse. A big update/upgrade from the old model is that you can now split the screen with the flash as one of the inputs. This way I can put my Mac to one side and the PC (via HDMI or Mini DisplayPort). I don't mind a little central joystick for navigating through items, it would be nice to have a hotkey for split screen or PIP, but either way it's just nice to have (at least for me). If you are a PC user and/or don't care about using Thunderbolt, there may be better deals on the market for you. Don't lie, Dell's 34-inch curved monitor looks great if you like curved monitors. The only thing that confuses me is the presence of two very small dents on two corners of the display from the factory. It's not enough for me to return just a small annoyance. Obviously, this is a 21:9 aspect ratio monitor that won't be for everyone and has some limitations and annoyances. There are a few Chrome browser extensions that help when you're watching movies /videos /youtube etc to fill the screen. Overall I think this is by far the best 34 inch monitor for Mac users as my personal taste is not for curved monitors.
