Okay I was skeptical. But these are amazing! I'm completely sold! I needed two of these to block doors to cordon off part of my house for health reasons, not construction. I didn't think I would have to go in and out much and could probably just use regular plastic and caulk the area. As it turned out I was very happy with the doors and they work great. Very convenient. The plastic is firm and more akin to a shower curtain liner in consistency than the plastic commonly used for such purposes. you see it very well In fact, the plastic is so clear that I put extra x-shaped tape on it so nobody would walk in. I had two doors that needed to be blocked - one was very short and the other very high so I actually cut a leg off one and glued it to the other. Magnetic closers are simply amazing. Easy to open and they collapse just like they could - it's like magic. There's no magic in getting the plastic to stay on its feet. I came prepared with my own masking tape based on a lot of the feedback here, but the only way to hold it was with a few pieces perpendicular to the edge. And I unfortunately needed buttons or nails on top. It's too heavy for a normal tape. After using nails on one and thumbtacks on the other I found two small tack bags that came with each package which for some reason I was missing. So they expect that the tape they provide won't work on its own. It's too heavy with magnets. If you need to block a door for construction or other reasons, don't be shy. They will fit a 3 foot doorway or any standard doorway but no wider. They are cool!
