Bought for our 7 year old daughter who needs time for activities. It's easy enough to use. (3 buttons total - press top and bottom to reset, top adds minutes, bottom adds seconds, middle starts and stops). It has a small stand to sit on by itself (or a magnet, but we haven't used it that way) and the viewer is large enough to be read from about 3 feet away. The sound is loud enough to be heard from another room but won't wake up a sleeping baby. It's impressive that it's been about 3 months and the battery hasn't died. worth 5 dollars.
