Nylon-like fabric melts

You have nylon fabric for the printed side. It's slippery, making it difficult to grip things. We had less than a week and my daughter used an oven mitt to get something out of the toaster. Part of it touched the heating element under the counter and instantly melted, exposing the inner seal. One of my old cotton-based potholders may have been blackened from experience, but it's still intact. It's junk and I melted the stuff on my toaster oven and we had to figure out how to clean it.
