Quick repair after a broken finger accident

Sorry ugly fingers but they were the trigger for my search for a solution to a temporary problem after a very stupid and clumsy accident involving an iPhone and lots of broken glass in almost all my fingers. Getting rid of those splinters obviously affected more than just my nails, but of course playing any stringed instrument to keep practicing was more painful than my initial calluses (and bloody fingers) starting with an acoustic 12-string. was looking for something to put on my fingertips AFTER OPEN WOUNDS HEALED (it's called some sort of liquid band-aid on the internet, but it's closer to superglue than a liquid band-aid, in fact they say it's not using open cuts) which would at least make it less uncomfortable fixing those calluses while learning to play the banjo and my mandolin. First, one coat isn't enough if you don't have calluses at all. There are four layers in the photo and it helped a lot that it just didn't interfere with playing and training. Secondly, this is not a complete solution for corns. This is a great hack and comes in handy if you have some blemishes or haven't played in a while and your fingertips have gotten softer, or maybe you've spent hours practicing on a new instrument and want to practice more. hours - THIS IS FOR YOU! DO NOT BUY this if you want to avoid having natural calluses on your fingertips while learning to play stringed instruments, it will only do you a disservice. Otherwise, try this and DO NOT PLACE IT ON BROKEN, DAMAGED OR OPEN SKIN, IT WILL BURN VERY.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Not happy with everything
