Beautiful OEM replacement muffler. It's a little louder than the original, but not annoying. In fact, it adds a slightly heavier murmur to the exhaust note, emphasizing the higher-pitched hum of the engine. At cruising speed it is very close to the factory silencer and does not hum. The case is slightly smaller and slightly lighter than the original device. The overall length is approximately 1/2" shorter than the stock muffler. If you are careful you can cut out and replace your stock muffler with this, along with a pair of 2-1/2" exhaust clamps. This allows you to reuse the front and rear pipes if they are in good condition (I had).
