Sounds great - exhausts and parts

Sounds great I put it on my Ford Ranger, it has a V6 4.0 OHV engine. It has a great tone and was very easy for me to brew. The 2.5 inch pipe fits perfectly into the muffler. I bled the truck right away so it runs well and for the price it was spot on. Even came with some cool stickers because you know it adds horsepower lol. Definitely I would recommend this muffler to anyone considering buying one.

  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Almost never

Surprisingly quiet.

These glass bags are too quiet, or maybe the sound is harsh to me. They sound great when you put your foot in, but not so well at idle or at low revs. Maybe I just picked the wrong style. They are about 4 inches longer than the ones I had on the truck. I believe that will be one of the reasons for my problem with them. I was very surprised when I heard how quiet they are. Definitely unexpected.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Nothing here

2003 f150 5.4 v8, very quiet at idle and in the cockpit but nice deep rumble outside when accelerating. I like the overall sound of the Flowmasters better, but they don't hum at high speeds and at half the price they're great. Installation was easy, I bought a 10" extension, 3 clamps, cut out the stock muffler and bolted it on. Would buy again.

Makes the truck louder

My teenage son installed it himself on his 2008 Colorado. It was easy to install and definitely makes the truck louder and you can hear it when it reaches the driveway that it's home. Definitely harder if he misses curfew because that noise will give him away. Recommend to others. Just make sure it is compatible with your vehicle. His buddy wanted to buy it for his car but it wasn't compatible. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Surprisingly smooth idle on a Ford 360 V8

I originally used these on a 1973 Ford F250 with a 360 FE big block engine mated to some long headers. I wanted a nice loud rumble at idle and they didn't disappoint. I ended up replacing those double glazed windows with standard mufflers just for comparison. The mufflers sounded a little better (louder) at idle to me, but for others this might be the way to go. Nice soft rumble at idle, not enough to wake the neighbors but gets nice and loud at higher revs if you have room to switch on.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons

Free flowing insulating glass

This is my second set of Thrush IGUs. My first set was 2.25" intake/exhaust when I upgraded my exhaust system to 2.5". I bought them again. I like their sound, plus there are no baffles or other obstructions in the exhaust flow, they are free flow mufflers. They have a deep tone rather than a throaty or tinny sound. I know everyone has their own preferences but you can undercut the price of a loose silencer like the Thrush glass packs. just rumble. ! The original 2 inch pipe setup was moreโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some small things

Easy install for me

So I bought these to turn off my truck. I have a '94 Bronco that used to be a straight pipe and while I loved the sound in "my days" it was just too obnoxious when I grew out of the "I want the loudest exhaust" phase. It fits, maybe a bit too well as my truck is pretty quiet now but still has a nice sound on start and in WOT. If you're looking for aggressive sound you might want to keep your eyes peeled as you might be a little disappointed, but at $25 who's complaining? I haven't welded themโ€ฆ
