As a single I don't cook as often as I would like, but that changed after I started using the 8" Black Hawk S Chef's Knife. Not only does it meet all of the commercial benefits listed in the product description, but most importantly, this knife makes cooking a pleasure. I use it to cut everything from veggies and fruit to meat and fish. The knife feels so good in the hand that sometimes I feel like I was a samurai chef in a previous life. Yes, this is a joke, but there is some truth to it.
