Review on Efficient Emerson LED Parking Signal for Advanced Auto needs by Jason King

Not bad, but not great

The product looks good in the picture but there are a few imperfections that affect functionality. Pros: The weighted base is enough to hold the main unit. It will not accidentally tip over. On top of the device is a stop sign with LEDs that flicker when the head moves, such as when the support leg hits the bumper of a car. Cons: The support bar is made up of several segments (so it can be packed in a small box) and needs to be held together by friction. Unfortunately, the poles are flimsy and very flexible. So when everything is assembled, the "head" hangs down (somewhat like a sunflower) or at an angle. Due to the fragility of the pole and the sensitivity of the "head", even a small draft of the opening of the garage door will cause the "head" to wiggle and blink. It does react when a car's bumper hits it, but often it's already flashing by the time the car reaches it that I'm just watching to see if the bar deforms so I know when the car hits it. A simple weight with a fiberglass rod will do. Maybe one day I'll replace the rod with a stronger fiberglass rod from the hardware store. If it came with a stronger stem I would recommend it, but I can't recommend it in its current state.
