This device is terrible. Among the more expensive soundbars, this one should be at the bottom of the ranking. Back when I was into stereos, Polk was a manufacturer of high quality stereos. This name attracted me to this device. How disappointed I am. From day one this device was inefficient, but I kept using it, hoping the problem was in the setting and not the device. I was wrong but at that point I finally realized that it was the design of the device itself, all warranties and return policies had expired leaving me stuck with this rather expensive device. First, the remote control is almost unusable. The response time to even adjust the volume is very poor. The ability to put voice input over background music makes no difference. The background music is always too loud and the voice is often not heard because it is drowned out by the background music or noise. Now something new has started. The bass will "thump" several times and then stop? In fact, the device turns off for no reason and the user has to restore it by working with the volume control. Sometimes muting cannot be undone without a reboot. I can go on, but I won't. The biggest problem is the sound quality. He is not there. The overwhelming background is terrible. I turned off this Polk and use the TV sound (which isn't great but is better than the Polk) until I researched and bought another Bose/Sony or some other quality product. I'm going to throw this device away and eat the $600 it cost to scrape it as a lesson learned. Old quality names often go down the drain over the years. Do not buy this device.
