Perfect inexpensive, packable emergency rain pant

I was in the market for packable emergency rain pants; something compact, lightweight (and inexpensive) that I could pull out of my backpack along with a poncho if there was a surprise shower during a hike or bike. I have a high performance (read: expensive) pair of rain pants, but they are bulkier and overkill for bringing along on a "just in case” basis. I actually bought (and returned) a couple other similar products because they were oddly fitting or didn’t pack small. These came folded into their own, lightweight pouch that fit into the pocket of my bike jersey. Better yet, they fit just as expected: I’m 5’8”, 185lbs, 34 waist and 30 inseam and the large is just perfect fit over shorts or light pants, with zippers at bottom to allow donning them without removing shoes. They don’t look too bad at all when I have them on; basicallylooking like high end sweatpants and not the baggy-knee motorcycle rain pants you often see . My suspicion, based on the price/build, is that if I do get forced to wear these more than a dozen times, they might wear out quickly (at this price I’d just buy another pair); I don’t think these are built for regular commute use. I also suspect they won’t handle a Noah’s ark level rainstorm, but I’m not one to stay out in that when I’m just out for a quick hike/bike, and will bring my expensive high performance pants if that type of weather is expected. But for what I needed and the price, couldn’t be happier.
