I read a lot of negative reviews but for $10 I decided it was worth a try. It was like this. Definitely works better than the wire dipole on my Onkyo receiver. It now picks up lower power "student radio" stations that I couldn't get before with either a dipole or any other amplified TV/FM antenna. You'll need to "point" the antenna to get the best signal, but overall this is very good performance with no parasitic power loss. I believe (but don't know) that many of the negative reviews may be related to using an antenna with a matching transformer (balun) attached to the FM receiver with two screws. Significant loss of signal power occurs when passing through the balun. If you have an "F" connector plugged directly into the antenna cable, you will get better results. If you don't have an "F" connector, it's better to use a wire dipole.
