Review on ☕️ Ovalware RJ3 Stainless Steel Pour Over Coffee and Tea Kettle - 1.0L/34oz - Precision Gooseneck Spout for Home Brewing, Camping, and Traveling by Stephanie Brown

Works as expected, good for kettle

This 1.0L/34oz stainless steel oval RJ3 kettle has met all my expectations. I've only been using it for a few days and since I'm dripping a coffee cup at a time, I don't fill it nearly to its capacity. It's nice to know that I can make multiple cups in the future, but usually one or two at a time in the future. It is very easy to pour, the handle is cool and comfortable. I leave the top open so I can see and hear the water boil. The bottom is flat wall to wall which tells me in the future if there will be signs of rust and there will be as ALL induction compatible kettles will show signs of rust at some point. Why? Well, to be compatible with induction, the "smaller" stainless steel base has to be magnetic metallurgy that has to be machined into the base. Standard stainless steel is ordinary rust-prone steel with chromium added to prevent rusting. Stainless steel safe for induction must be magnetic. To be favorable for induction, some grade of mild/modified stainless steel is incorporated into the base. Not surprisingly, some level of rust is inevitable. I like this kettle more because it's easy to deal with the day I see rust creeping. So far I have only used this kettle on my domestic gas stove. I plan to use it later on a portable induction stove in our RV. Incidentally, two recent Swedish and Norwegian studies have shown that drinking filtered coffee instead of unfiltered coffee is actually better for you than no coffee at all. Unfiltered coffee is actually unhealthy. I wish I knew this as I have been using my stainless steel (no induction and no grate) Italian MOKA coffee maker for decades. Researchers and data have done their job.
