I have a large (15lb) orange tabby. I love him and spoil him, but I'm still a miser. So I thought carefully about buying even a basic couch to make sure I was getting the best value for money. I've read all the reviews of all budget (for the price) beds. And wow! My efforts have really paid off. This bed is a gem. It really is sooooo soft (I think another reviewer said so somewhere), I want one my size for ME! Very chic. like chenille and velvet having a baby? there will be a feeling. The removable pillow has 2 different color sides (brown/dark brown) which I flip to decide which one looks best (they BOTH look amazing! Can't decide). The sides are padded but still remain as upright as you want them to be. I lay the pillow stretched forward so it leaves a very low front and a higher back, like a little bay. I think my cat likes it that way. but no matter how I put it, HE loves it! And that's the most important thing, isn't it? He checked it IMMEDIATELY. I tucked in the sheet he was lying on all the time so he would know it was his. The bed is very big even for my cat. (A smaller size might actually suffice). sometimes I leave his sheet there with him and there is enough space for him and for him. I am just so impressed with this purchase no matter the price. but the price almost makes it thieves in quality. just funny I think this feeling (not sure) over-stimulated his kitten/feeding instincts for the first few days. He came into the house so much baking cookies/drooling/trying to breastfeed so hard that I sometimes thought he was just resting. Laugh! he still does. it's too cute (ps the price was 18.79 when i got it sooooo.)
