Review on πŸ–€ Koh-I-Noor Ultradraw Pigment-Based Ink - 0.75 Ounce Bottle - Black (3085F.BLA) by Amber Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ink shown in the photo was not received from BestSource OfficeSupplies

I ordered 4 bottles of the Ultradraw ink shown in the photo but received the universal ones (all 4 bottles). It was just a performance issue on BestSource OfficeSupplies side and I will most likely not be ordering anything for sale from them again. I will still consider Ultradraw ink though (ended up ordering more from another supplier). The inks are great but to be honest I don't use them in my rapidiographs. I use this ink for drawing with pen and brush. It's fairly thin (obviously) but sits great on the Hunt 102, saturates the brushes surprisingly well, and has a long enough open time to get the job done well. Not to mention that it is DARK when applied with a brush. These inks work great in rapidiographs, but I don't need long open print times from Ultradraw ink (I usually use Universal for this, so I didn't complain about an ordering error). However, for first-time users of a technical pen, this ink can save you the hassle of cleaning more frequently. The only downside to these inks is the smell. These inks are diluted to work well in technical pens and this often involves the use of a thinner. This ink has a VERY strong solvent odor which may irritate some people (I know it irritated me when I first started using it. I'm really enjoying it now). To brush. Just don't order it through BestSource OfficeSupplies.

Pros
  • .Slow drying ink due to long pen open times.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
