These cables are better than the original cables in a length adjustable housing and accessories. I liked the case/body with the spiral metal mount on top of the plastic material. Be sure to use a hacksaw or non-crushing knife when cutting. If you're using wire cutters, you'll need to find a way to open up the crimped end. It's also very easy to duplicate lengths using the old cable as a guide. I had an issue not related to the cable but to the variety of bikes and cables. Both sides have a front end with different designs. It's great because there are differences. What is unexpected is the size of the ending. The plug for my brakes was larger than the new end so I had to put a grommet around the end to hold it in place. If I need to replace other cables I will order these again.
