I was hesitant to buy this distributor. not only because it makes my Ford look like a GM Frankenstein, but also because everyone was complaining that it didn't fit and didn't work. Well, read on. I installed this on a fully stock 1979 Ford F-150 with a 351M engine. I had an issue with the original not working after replacing some parts at an OEM dealer. It was relatively easy to install, although I had a few minutes with an Allen wrench and the oil pump alignment before it fell off, but that's nobody's fault. Distributor is great. I plugged it in, ran it, and measured the time with no vacuum. Then I connected the vacuum line and everything worked fine. I recommend this distributor, it is affordable and complete.
