As expected HUGE

I didn't install it on my 460 Turbo because I would need an 8" carburetor gasket to clean the charge tube so can't comment on functionality. I can say it looks cheap compared to a non-Hei dealer for the same price and probably from the same manufacturer.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Upgrades

Receive the product immediately after launch

I had a little more trouble installing this type of distributor than the original type, but as soon as I installed it it immediately caught fire. It only uses one wire, eliminating about 10 wires from the ignition module and coil. As soon as this happened the truck started and idled very well. It's worth demonstrating. I hope it lasts!

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Grab it, it's worth it!

I was hesitant to buy this distributor. not only because it makes my Ford look like a GM Frankenstein, but also because everyone was complaining that it didn't fit and didn't work. Well, read on. I installed this on a fully stock 1979 Ford F-150 with a 351M engine. I had an issue with the original not working after replacing some parts at an OEM dealer. It was relatively easy to install, although I had a few minutes with an Allen wrench and the oil pump alignment before it fell off, but that's…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

short life very very short

set to 429 had to take another neck (expected) and even then sharpen a little then I cut another notch in the body for the cover to be rotated can cool 90 (to clean the air filter) and a constant supply of 12V. 2 months and maybe 10 miles later: dead, no spark, fired yesterday, no spark today, 12v input, nothing. It turns out that the ignition module was broken, you can get similar versions of this distributor, in fact identical "in appearance", but "under the hood" are not the same animals, so

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • cord is shorter than others

One wire, lots of spark and pretty cool looks

Put this in a Ford 400. Try cleaning the inner fenders and engine wiring. This sure is a good option. The only thing I have to watch out for is when the grip is loose so I can adjust the timing as the entire tip of the dizzy swings around. It's like he's making a fool of himself. It stops when the clamp is tightened, so it's probably just play in the hole itself. Took 45 minutes to install and I've never heard this motor run as well as it does now. You should also consider the gap in the air…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
