I use this to start a homebrew siphon from fermenter to keg that runs with a pump every time. A NOTICE. I disinfect the contact tip before use and do not run any liquid through it as I think it will be difficult to properly disinfect the inside of the hand pump. I'm absolutely adept at running a siphon with a full hose of water, but this pump is great because I can get a clean start with a clean, dry hose and a reed switch without the risk of starting water washing back into the brew becomes. Overall, it's well worth spending under $10 for a useful addition to my homemade gear.
