I like things to do what they're supposed to do. The Garmin 250W does everything a GPS should do. It's so simple, you can use it right out of the box. The screen is the perfect size (which is why I prefer it over pricier models), making it easy to select touchscreen options without accidentally clicking other buttons. Also, the maps are much easier to see at this larger size! The image on the screen is very clear and contains all the necessary information (large image of the road, written description above, mileage to the next turn LR and estimated time angle LL). The only downside are the maps from 2006 version. You can download new ones from the website if you have the required internet cable (sold separately). I work at Keesler AFB on the Gulf Coast and many of the streets/existing businesses have changed since Katrina. Lots of other great features for those who want it. Overall very happy (and I'm not often happy with e-purchases) and will be buying a few as Christmas gifts for family. If you want a great GPS for your car and don't care about features that only duplicate devices you already have (extra MP3), I highly recommend this device.
