Bought a month ago when the ammonia in our small carp pond started to rise. It has been an ongoing struggle since we increased the size of our pond and how it circulates. It didn't help that the young fish, who were little boys last summer, are experiencing a growth spurt (I'm currently looking after their new home - their parents, my two koi, surprised us with these little balls of joy last time). Last summer I found homes for 20 of them and kept 5. They all survived the winter). I check every other day with my API test kit and a month later the ammonia is still showing at high levels. Luckily I always have Ammo-Lock on hand and do careful partial water changes and I think THIS product saved my fish until the pond completely stopped circulating. Frustrated but keep going until things even out.
