When I got my new truck I was looking for the best way to install a front facing DVR (Blackvue DR650GW). On my old Jeep, the Blackvue took up some space on the windshield and wasn't mounted as high as I'd like due to the huge black plastic case behind the rear view mirror. My Chevy Colorado has a similar black plastic body, but with the Blackvue lens mount it doesn't take up space on the windshield and gives you a higher viewing angle as the camera can hide behind the rearview mirror and completely erase the plastic black box. The only complaint I have is that the bolts don't seem to hold as much tension, even when using tiny lock washers. When adjusting the rearview mirror, I sometimes knock the glare mount out of perfect alignment.
