I have already installed several Feit floodlights and security cameras. I can control any device from an app and also send commands via Google Home. I use one of these outlets to power a heater in my basement office. I can just press a button in the Feit app or say "Ok Google, turn off the office heat". However, to use any of the Feit products, you only MUST have a 2.4GHz network and they are very susceptible to interference. Coming from a tech background, I've been able to hook up a bunch of old routers and tune them to specific frequencies so the Feit devices provide a solid connection throughout my house and garage, but someone with no experience setting up wireless Networks will likely be disappointed that these devices will be disconnected from their network. If you have a mesh network set up at home, be prepared to set up a separate 2.4GHz network with additional routers and range extenders if you want everything to work.
