I recently went on a backpacking trip and purchased a liter water bottle with a generic lid. It wasn't long after I got home that someone decided the dishwasher was the best way to clean it. Needless to say, the cap was unusable after its date wth the dishwasher. This cap has been a good replacement for it.This cap fit my water bottle perfectly and gave it several upgrades from the original lid:- It gave my black water bottle a splash of color that the original black cap didn't.- Unlike my original water bottle cap, this cap gave a finger hold. With this cap you can easily hold the bottle with only a few fingers.- The locking mechanism is strong and reliable; I have never had an issue with it.- The smaller hole at the top is not only water tight, but it makes drinking the water much easier to do, especially after a hard workout.This cap has been reliable since I purchased it. It has exceeded my expectations and I thoroughly recommend it.
