I bought this cap to turn my Blackthorne stainless non-insulated bottles into sports bottles. They don't leak as long as you tighten them tight. The spout is easy to drink from as a sports bottle and it's handy to hold from the loop when the cap is closed.However I can see the issues that others have pointed out. The latch and button seem pretty flimsy. I plan on always closing by engaging the metal clip. And the silicone seal for the spout I think works by mushrooming the seal when its closed…

This was purchased in November of 2021 and lasted 2.5 months before the clasp broke. The clasp just isn't sturdy enough. When the clasp works it works well and doesn't leak. It was used daily by a 6yo. so it has to withstand a lot of abuse.

I love that I found a way to order multiple tops because my son keeps breaking them. It isn't easy to break but there is a piece on it that latches, if that breaks, it rendered useless. Although, there is a backup latch, a metal latch that comes in handy but my son won't use it.

I replaced the lid that I previously had only because it had been used outside and had gotten dirty and ran through the dishwasher about all it could be. I've long been searching for a convenient water bottle that can be opened and closed with one hand, can be securely locked and has a good water flow. This water bottle(lid) has it all. These are the only lids I’ve used on my Nalgene bottles. I use a medium sized carabiner or s-biner and hook it through the loop and onto my lunch box—No spills, no problem. They keep the water in until you need it and that’s about all you can ask. The one little seal come out easily for cleaning. I recently ordered replacements after several years or hard use. These are top notch and good quality.

Strictly speaking, this is just better than the default screw-on-off lids that come on wide-mouthed nalgene water bottles. However, since it's more complex, there's more potential for things to break. I like it, and the color is nice. It does what it is meant to do. It took longer to arrive than the grey ones I originally purchased. I chose these because of the color.

Purchased this for my daughter, as she uses the 32oz regular bottle for work. Its great, as she can just pop the top to drink versus always having to unscrew the lid to chug. Purchased as coordinating color to her bottle. Like that the spout lid can be locked shut for transport too!
