Baking cakes is just my hobby, I don't often bake cakes, just for friends or family. I didn't feel like buying a big stack of disposable boxes as I only bake cakes 2-3 times a year anyway. So I was looking for something permanent that I would buy one day. This is the biggest cake stand I could find on Revane! Although it's a bit pricey, its size makes it worth the money. It easily fits an 8 inch cake with 4 layers! There's even extra space. What's good: - great quality, seems very sturdy, clasps work well - lid snaps on and fits snugly, doesn't dry out the cake by letting air in - roomy enough to hold a lot of items, fits up to 11 inches wide and 5.5 inches high - Works well as a display case - Neutral color and matte finish. pops out in the middle, making the surface (where you put the cake) not level! Tried pressing down but nothing changed. First I put a cake board and then a cake on it, it was ok because my cake was heavy. But if I had made a soufflé or a mousse, I don't know how it would have turned out. 🤔 It might deform. I'm assuming it's a manufacturing defect (I'll swap mine); - Takes up too much disk space. There are collapsible cake containers, but they're not as big as this one. So I chose the size, not the convenience: it cannot be carried by the handle. Conclusion: This is a good, highly functional product that meets all my cake shipping needs. It's roomy enough for large cakes or tarts, keeping them safe and healthy. I like this carrier and have received compliments on it! I only give 4 stars for the cumbersome exchange due to a defect. Hope that helps!
