Review on Smartphone Samsung Galaxy A8 4/32 GB RU, Dual nano SIM, black by Jnis Griis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I bought a smartphone at the end of August, before that I used BlackBerry z30 for almost 4 years. There is something to compare, if only because the eye is not washed out. I was skeptical about Samsung, because of their popularity, I myself once worked as a salesman in a hardware store, and I know firsthand a lot of jokes associated with popular companies. But, the phone showed a very good side. Despite the prevalence, development, support for the Android system, there are some points that I do not understand. The keyboard, the absence of simple swipes, in BB z30 there was a very convenient swipe to delete one word before a space, you don’t need to reach for the Backspace button and then constantly click it or measure the time when you hold it so as not to delete anything superfluous. Or a dictionary with guessing words, when you write it is often not clear what words the dictionary offers in an additional line. It could be done between the lines of the keyboard so that the words pop up, and send them to the text with a swipe. I tried to find alternative keyboards in the Android Market, to no avail, it offers with all sorts of button coloring, pressing speeds, and other nonsense. There was also a convenient collector of everything: mail, calls, sms, messengers, notifications. Everything was in one place. Here you need to go into a separate program. Well, at least there is Samsung E-mail.

Pros
  • Beautiful, strict, smart design. Compared to previous models, it looks different. A very decent screen on the smartphone market, well calibrated from the factory, it is possible to set the normal viewing mode (not bright, oversaturated colors). The external speaker transmits sound well and clearly, especially when talking on the speakerphone. Not a bad camera, especially in macro photography. The battery life pleased, the smartphone can withstand 6-7 hours of continuous work, at half the brightness of the screen. In general, the battery lasts 36 - 48 hours of operation (in my mode of use: office, books, browser, video, photo). Special thanks to Samsung for the night mode in the browser, it does a very good job of inverting colors on different sites, knows which components of the site do not need to be repainted. An FM receiver is a rarity today, especially with a recording function. Jack 3.5 headphone jack, great that they didn't remove it, allows you to connect "drops" and full-size headphones. The Samsung Health program, which is very cool on the topic of sports, offers its own interesting training programs, you can also create your own, tracks sleep, and much more. A very convenient and simple Samsung mail collector, nothing superfluous, only the most necessary, you can apply completely different settings to each mailbox.
Cons
  • Camera: in night shooting, the pictures are very blurry. Looks like it's dealing with noise. And in simple pictures during the day, excessive sharpness, despite the fact that the camera is small and without a lens at all, small artifacts come out in the picture. There is also a bug associated with connecting headphones, but it does not always appear, most likely software. The bottom line is that when I turn on the phone and plug in the headphones, after about 5 seconds the screen goes blank and I need to unlock the phone again to get back to my business. Maybe it has something to do with the sound mode, the memory of the headphones, when I listened to music last time. There are still cons, but they are more for Android than for Samsung. They are written in the comments.
