We have a small vineyard and on harvest days we provide food to volunteers who pick the grapes. This works great because I can prep food (usually sandwiches and fresh fruit) the night before, place it in a foil pan (whole or half), and refrigerate it all overnight. In the morning all I have to do is toss the carrier into the truck and keep it in the shade until my time in the vineyard. For me this works better than a standard cooler as it is not as tall and can easily stand on a serving table. I also used reusable ice packs and ice under a foil tray for extra cooling.
