Horrible Carrier for Food Transport

When I tried this carrier for transporting food, i was highly disappointed... the material is flimsy and not meant for industrial and scientific use. The only pro is that it holds 18 quarts of food but the cons outweigh it. The lid is difficult to secure and leaks easily, which defeats the purpose of transporting. I would not recommend this product for anyone in the food service industry..

Pros
  • Durable and heavy-duty construction for long-lasting use.
Cons
  • The carrier is relatively heavy and may be difficult to carry when fully loaded.

Perfect for me: Catering equipment and supplies

We have a small vineyard and on harvest days we provide food to volunteers who pick the grapes. This works great because I can prep food (usually sandwiches and fresh fruit) the night before, place it in a foil pan (whole or half), and refrigerate it all overnight. In the morning all I have to do is toss the carrier into the truck and keep it in the shade until my time in the vineyard. For me this works better than a standard cooler as it is not as tall and can easily stand on a serving table…
