This hard case is very well made. I would say it is very similar to a Pelican but not as durable. The clips that close it are very easy to use ...and hold up well.The hinges have a very nice feel.The handles are rubberized and are just as great as the wheels.The retractable handle is very comfortable to ride when loaded and heavy.The wheels feel and are heavy duty rubber covered the handles. not a solid block. This is a pluck type, the foam on the lid is glued on and won't come loose. I removed all the foam from mine (except the lid) and used it as a 'hiking bag'. Works very well and can take a beating, I like to use this in place of a bag because it's a hard case with wheels, I can throw it in the back of a truck and not worry n make it get wet or lose things. Plus, if I'm transferring from the truck to the bench, I can just pull out the extended handle and walk over it.
