Correct application is everything. It is extremely important to carefully smooth the edges without pressing too hard on the center. Creates a trompe l'oeil effect giving the illusion of a perfect seam while the area of the crack expands and contracts naturally as the house settles (which was a problem along the entire north side of my house, in the same relative area of each room). This product has saved me a lot of time and effort. Otherwise I would use drywall caulk and/or clay, which I've experienced varying degrees of effectiveness in repairing the crack and preventing it from reoccurring. This product seems to be discontinued so I bought all I could, hands up. I fully expected the gimmick when I bought it on a whim; Instead, I got a miracle product.
