My kimchi recipe is perfect here. I haven't transferred it to another container so it's still doing its job in my fridge. This jug comes with a wooden pestle which I used to step on the contents to add more. There are also two semi-circular weights that provide ventilation. The design of the jug and lid is durable. I'm glad I went with this 2 liter size as a larger volume would have required a lot more preparation. This size is just right. It also holds up beautifully on my counter and matches my kitchen decor.
