Review on πŸ”² Square 2-Tier Black End Table by Household Essentials by John Boyce

The product works great but I had trouble assembling it

8 bolts, 8 nuts with through hole, 2 wooden plates and 2 metal frames How difficult is it to assemble? My first impression was that it was a no-brainer, but oooh boy I was sorely wrong. I lost two hours of my life collecting this. In theory this is a hole and hardware alignment, this item is very easy to align and can take 10 minutes but that hasn't happened to me. One of the holes was misaligned and the bolt didn't fit the nut. I had to disassemble everything again and try to understand why it didn't work, the hole was offset enough that the bolt didn't go into the nut. I had to use tools to fix the problem. You might say it's no big deal, you fixed it, but the point is it cost me $50 plus tax. I expect my mounting holes to line up and be easy to assemble. Otherwise I like the table. I used it to mount a fairly heavy printer on it. However, I think it's a small price to pay for what you get, it's more like a $30-40 table to me considering I've had to go through all this frustration.

Pros
  • MINIMALISTIC DESIGN with clean lines and small footprint
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
