Review on πŸ”Œ NewOne Smartthings Assistant with Z Wave Compatibility by Tim Surridge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy setup, quick response, just switches, no power monitoring

This Zwave switch is nice and small and best for light loads like lights. We set it up to turn on the light when the ceiling in the room turns off and then turn on the light when the ceiling turns on and it works like a charm. We use Homeseer to control our zwave system and it recognized this switch with no problems. But it's just a switch so it doesn't have dimming, it doesn't have power control and it's really only good for light loads, which is exactly what we wanted/needed. It distributes the space between the forks well, but the bottom fork is best, see attached photo. There is a button on the side to turn the switch on and off, and this button works even when the switch is not connected to the zwave network. But he doesn't respond to hand claps or cats.

Pros
  • Z-Wave Hub Required: Works with certified Z-Wave hubs such as SmartThings, Hubitat, Vera, and Wink. Z Wave Frequency: 908.42MHz FCC and ETL listed.
Cons
  • boring package
