Before anyone thinks I don't know what I'm doing or don't know how to deal with electrostatic sensitive electronics, think again. I've been working with computers since 1982 when the first IBM PC came out. That RAM was dead. I bought 2x1GB and not a single bank worked. I bought these as an upgrade for my laptop (and yes, my laptop can run 2GB of RAM). I plugged them in, reinstalled all the terminals and covers, applied power and pressed the power button. A moment of Disk IO, then silence. No mail. Repeatedly swapped cans, only 1 can used on each side. Nothing. Reinstalled original RAM and the laptop booted immediately. Went to the local computer store, bought a different brand/scheme (again 2x1GB) and gave it a try. An alternative brand from my local store worked. ken****n. More expensive but works. Stay away from it. Buy something else. Luckily, Revain let me return it for a refund.
