I'm writing this review to give my opinion on this kit. Some reviews say this set doesn't work and I want to assure you that the set works when used properly. There is a review of threaded inserts that didn't work. Well if you look closely they have red RTV silicone or thread lock, you can't use it with this kit. The kit doesn't come with instructions, but if you look at it you'll find YouTube videos showing how it works. Search YouTube for Sealey VS301 Spark Plug Thread Repair Kit. You will see that this is exactly the same kit. I did this repair on my 2010 Toyota Yaris and it worked great. Be sure to lube the taps to keep the metal shavings from getting in (I did this with my head). When you tap, turn it around a few times and then unscrew the faucet to clean it. Take your time and it will work. The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because of the quality of the kit itself. Well if you're looking for this set you've probably seen sets that cost twice as much as this one. If you're buying this set, think of it as a disposable set and not a tool you'll carry around the store for years. The kit arrived and there was some red paint on almost every part. The color didn't affect functionality, but it's clear that this kit is cheaper than kits like Time-sert. Well this kit is not the highest quality but it saved me a lot of money and my car is back on the road. . Again this kit really works, just take your time and be patient with each step and your car will be back on the road in no time!
