Review on ☕ TIMEMORE Chestnut C2 Manual Coffee Grinder - 25g Capacity, CNC Stainless Steel Conical Burr, Adjustable Settings, Double Bearing Positioning - Ideal Hand Grinder Gift for French Press Coffee by Donald Gore

Generally excellent price

The grinder came in a nice box with passport, guarantee card, instruction manual, cleaning brush and a bag. The English in the documents is not perfect, but understandable enough. The grinder itself is surprisingly heavy and feels solid despite some plastic components. At the top I have a maximum of 23g of beans. It's a bit smaller, but that doesn't really matter. While I haven't traveled with the C2 yet, I think it will become a valuable (and packable) travel companion in the future. In fact, grinding coffee is incredibly quick and easy. I was able to grind about 20 grams of medium roast beans in less than 20 seconds. Of course, finer grinds require more time and effort, but also a lot less than you would expect from a grinder at this price point. The consistency was also excellent. However, I have a few criticisms. First, and perhaps most importantly, there have been many complaints about the ridge shifting on the Timemore C2. My device seems fine after 10 clicks, but when it's smaller you can hear the ridges touching. Timemore itself advises that you shouldn't try to use 0 to 6 clicks on the grinder, but it's clearly outside of that range. I've read on Reddit and other sites that people have had issues with 14 clicks. Check your coffee grinder as soon as you receive it. You can find more information about this on Google. Second, although the manual lists a series of clicks for "espresso," each click represents too great a difference in grind size to get the right shot of espresso. Perhaps it could be used well with a printing screen carrier. However, this should not surprise anyone who wants to buy this coffee grinder. I personally use Timemore C2 for Aeropress, Pourover and French Press. For these purposes it is perfect. Overall I think the Timemore C2 is the cheapest manual coffee grinder you can get while still offering solid build quality and good grind stability. The grinder glows brightest when the grind is coarser, although I've made good AeroPress coffee with a fairly fine grind. Here, too, only check for offset ridges. In conclusion, I recommend this to anyone who takes their coffee seriously but doesn't want to go broke. For reference, I bought the grinder from the R&C Store USA. They received the grinder with me within a few days and responded to messages very quickly.
