Super fast and easy coffee grinder, delivery also fast.

Wonderful meat grinder. I've been using a ceramic coffee grinder for a while and just couldn't get the consistency I wanted. Also, grinding coffee with a cheaper coffee grinder was quite labor intensive. Not only is this thing incredibly easy to use, it's also a joy to hold. The metal construction offers a great grip and the screw cap on the bottom screws opposite the grinding pegs so it doesn't move when you grind. What I didn't expect was how fast this grinder is. Less than 10 seconds for 20g

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons

Great cheap manual grinder

tlTR: If you are just starting to grind your own coffee, I highly recommend starting with this grinder. It's well made, fast and a great product for the price. My first attempts at hand-ground coffee began with a $12 manual coffee grinder from another location. First of all, the fresh, hand-ground coffee was simply delicious. However, over time it began to deteriorate. Literally. Then I spent an extra $10 and bought a Revain manual coffee grinder. While this took a little longer, it took me…

  • I hold my fists

  • Hard to say

I'm by no means an expert on coffee, I'm just a person who drinks coffee every day, it's part of my daily life. I was hesitant to buy a coffee grinder because I have an inexpensive $30 Bodum electric coffee grinder. However, I've noticed that I'm getting a very uneven grind with the Bodum grinder, so I figured why not invest a little more? Let me tell you this grinder is much sturdier, it makes the grinding process easy and quiet so you don't wake up everyone in the house. If you're thinking of

Good quality where it matters, but not everything

This is an $83 coffee grinder. not cheap but not super fancy for $200. All the important parts have a good fit and finish to work well and last a while. All parts that do not exhibit any noticeable inferior surface finish, clearance/fitting, etc. are machined or stamped. probably the best price you can get for a real grinder. Here's a more detailed version: * How it's made: - easy to clean (including full cleaning/disassembly) - the burr and its parts are machined and seem solid - the shaft…

Dark roasted beans make a mess

UPDATE 03/18/2021: bottom fell out. After a few months of use, the bottom of the coffee grounds container literally fell off and crashed onto the floor while grinding. A waste of expensive coffee beans, luckily not much was completed, and a very unexpected downside. I've never taken apart a coffee grinder so I didn't expect the base/lid to fall off. Strangely, there seems to be a small number of grooves built into the bottom edge to reattach the piece, but there's no way to unscrew it at first.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Generally excellent price

The grinder came in a nice box with passport, guarantee card, instruction manual, cleaning brush and a bag. The English in the documents is not perfect, but understandable enough. The grinder itself is surprisingly heavy and feels solid despite some plastic components. At the top I have a maximum of 23g of beans. It's a bit smaller, but that doesn't really matter. While I haven't traveled with the C2 yet, I think it will become a valuable (and packable) travel companion in the future. In fact…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are defects
